The process

Boxing is an athletic pursuit and skill. A boxing club is like a factory full of skilled labourers. To use the equipment you are going to have to learn the skills of the trade on a one to one level. This initially starts with personal training.

Your personal trainer will take you up to a point where he feels satisfied that your skills warrant you being graded by ranking system or ‘carded’.

Carding is a system by where you are graded according to you level of fitness and ability. Once carded you are given access to squad session and the option to hone your boxing skills and participate in highly controlled sparring. Squads work on developing your punching combinations, defence and strategy whilst drilling deeper into the psychological approaches and systems that will make you a great fighter.

By the time you are carded it is also an acknowledgement that you are capable of using a boxing gym effectively without an instructor present. To make an enquiry or to get started and book your trial session click here. < Back
